Yangyi joined the Vision and System Design Lab in 2025. He is currently a PhD student at the Electronic and Computer Engineering Department of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and AI Chip Center for Emerging Smart Systems, under the supervision of Prof. Kwang-Ting CHENG. He obtained his BEng degree in Microelectronic Science and Engineering and MEng degree in Electronic Science and Technology from the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in 2022 and 2025. His research interests include hardware-software co-design for AI chips and neural networks, computer vision, and vision accelerators.
